Post expiration and share windows
Share windows control when employees can see and share approved posts. Expiration removes posts from employee feeds when they're no longer relevant.
Share window dates
When creating or editing a post, you can set:
- Share window start — post hidden from employee feeds until this date and time
- Share window end — post removed from feeds after this date and time; status becomes Expired
If you leave the end date empty, the post stays available until you manually expire or delete it.
Why use share windows?
- Product launches — open the window on launch day
- Event promotion — close the window after the event
- Seasonal content — prevent outdated posts from being shared
What employees see
Employees only see posts that are:
- Approved (or already shared by someone on the team)
- Within the share window (start in the past, end in the future or unset)
- Not already shared by them personally
Display status in management
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Not approved yet |
| Live | Approved, no shares yet, not expired |
| Shared | At least one successful share |
| Expired | Past share window end |
